Keep informed about the life on this little Beagle!

Over time we will add more information about how Stitch is progressing- and what she gets into!!

Stitch was born one winter's night. We had taken Stitch's mother Amy to the vet hospital because we were having difficulties with the puppies being born safely.

Fortunately, after a while we opted to have a caesarian with Amy- otherwise Stitch would not have survived. You see, basically Stitch was born with her small intestines protruding through a ruptured hernia- the intestines were in the birth sack, and if we had tried for a natural birth she would probably have died in the birth canal. As it was, Stitch was operated on immediately - even before she was breathing! Her intestines were put back in quickly and she was sown up! The lovely night vet at the hospital told us that if she survives the infection problem over the next few weeks, she might have a chance!!

What a way to start life!!
